First let me tell you about our project. It is a complete house remodel for a contracted total of $99,675.00, which includes: building a covered side entrance, removing all interior walls including one bearing wall, widening and rebuilding the staircase, framing in and finishing an entirely new floor plan, installing all new cabinets and appliances, and rewiring, re-plumbing, and re-ducting the entire house. With such an extensive project, hiring a really good contractor means hiring someone who truly understands the order of construction, is capable of coordinating all the trades, manages his crew well, and still can see the vision of the designer and understands the wants of the home owner.
Having a bachelor's in Architecture, I was not only the home owner, but also the designer and understand much of the construction requirements and processes and was very involved in the whole project. It sounds cliche to say that every day Daymon brought to the job site a professional and enthusiastic attitude, as well as, a wealth of knowledge, but no only is that true, I truly enjoyed having him on my project and trusted him with my design and with my home.
Not only is the work that Daymon and his crew did well constructed and beautiful, he came in within budget and the only change orders we had were extras that we discussed as options at the beginning of the project. He also finished the project early, allow us to save money. And so, I am already planning on having him back to work on my next projects.
